Louise Oliver

After graduating, Louise began her career as an executive PA to the directors of an independent mortgage firm in Edinburgh.  Not only was Louise responsible for mortgage administration of the directors’ customers and liaising with the Financial Services Authority but also for diary, travel, and events management.  In her spare time time Louise gained the certificate in mortgage advice (CeMAP) and went onto secure a mortgage management role with a global banking organisation.

Looking for a change in direction, she moved in to the investments and pensions sector.  Taking on roles such as operations manager and pension scheme trustee, Louise gained invaluable experience of negotiating, project management and navigating financial services regulation. Having set up and run her own businesses in the past, Louise is familiar with the pressures and time constraints experienced by business owners, and uses her first-hand experience to identify and solve problems and mitigate risk.  Louise’s ability to prioritise and multitask with flawless execution allows SmartPA clients to concentrate on their core business whilst reassured their day-to-day tasks are being taken care of.

Louise’s key skills lie in relationship management, project management, event management, research and financial administration (including cashflow, maintaining budgets, setting/measuring key performance indicators, audit and financial reconciliation).  Louise also excels at design and implementation of company policies and procedures, report writing and training.
